How to Choose a Fused Silica Supplier

Buyers who compare fused silica suppliers should start from the specification already used in production. A useful comparison asks whether the supplier can state the grade, the particle size, the packing and the destination in the same terms the plant already uses. The comparison does not place one supplier above another.

Start from the specification you already use

Write down the grade, the form and the mesh or millimetre range on the current purchase order. If the plant already buys A Grade fused silica, name that grade and the impurity limits the process already accepts. A comparison that leaves out the existing specification is difficult to judge.

Ask for the COA of that grade and lot

A typical datasheet is only a guide. The result for the lot sits on the COA. Before you compare SiO2 and the impurities your process limits, read the chemical analysis that belongs to the grade and lot being offered. Treat those figures as confirmed for that lot, not as a standing limit for every future shipment.

Check packing and destination

State whether you need 25 kg bags, 25 kg bags on pallets, or jumbo bags of 1000 kg or 1250 kg. Packing is subject to the order. Name the destination, for example a plant in Europe, the United States or Brazil. Packing and the Incoterm change the landed cost even when the grade is the same.

Trial the lot before a larger switch

Before a larger switch, request a sample or a 100-500 kg trial, subject to product and shipping confirmation. Record the result against the acceptance limits the plant already uses. The trial shows whether that lot met the specification. It does not place one supplier above another.

Shenzhen Zhixin New Materials Co., Ltd. can review an inquiry that names the grade, the particle size, the quantity and the destination. Send those four items with the specification you already use, so the reply can be checked against the current purchase.

Looking for a Fused Silica Supplier?

Shenzhen Zhixin New Materials Co., Ltd. offers A Grade and B Grade fused silica options, with chemical analysis reports available for both grades. We welcome inquiries for 100–500 kg trial orders, subject to product and shipping confirmation.

Please include your required grade, particle size, quantity and destination country when requesting a quotation.
