When to Specify A Grade Fused Silica

A Grade is the option with the higher typical SiO2 minimum and the tighter typical impurity figures. Specify it when your acceptance limits call for those figures. It is one option among defined grades, chosen when the specification calls for it.

The typical figures

Typical A Grade values, confirmed on the COA or the quotation for the quoted lot, are SiO2 99.9% min, Fe2O3 ≤ 100 ppm, Al2O3 ≤ 200 ppm, Na2O/K2O ≤ 100 ppm, MgO ≤ 200 ppm, CaO ≤ 100 ppm and magnetic material ≤ 50 ppm. the A Grade description presents those figures as typical.

When your limits call for A Grade

Specify A Grade when your acceptance limits call for that SiO2 minimum and those impurity figures. If another defined grade meets the specification, that grade can be quoted. Read the lot COA beside your specification for the quoted lot.

Compare the COA

Ask for the COA of the quoted lot and set it next to the specification. Typical values count for that lot only when the COA or the quotation shows them. A grade name on a general page is not the analysis of the lot.

A trial where it helps

Where a trial is useful, a quantity of 100-500 kg can be discussed. It is subject to the product and to shipping confirmation. the trial discussion describes that discussion. A trial of one lot does not approve every later lot.

Shenzhen Zhixin New Materials Co., Ltd. can quote A Grade when you send the limits, the particle size and the packing. The grade is specified when those limits call for it.

Looking for a Fused Silica Supplier?

Shenzhen Zhixin New Materials Co., Ltd. offers A Grade and B Grade fused silica options, with chemical analysis reports available for both grades. We welcome inquiries for 100–500 kg trial orders, subject to product and shipping confirmation.

Please include your required grade, particle size, quantity and destination country when requesting a quotation.
